Memory hooks

Some cards just don’t stick. A memory hook can help: a short phrase in your own language that leads you back to the term, like a word that sounds similar or a picture in your mind.

You can give any card a hook. In review, it waits under the card. Press Peek at your hook, or H on a keyboard, to see it before you answer. Since you had help, Easy isn’t available for that card this time, because Easy means you remembered on your own. After the answer, Show hook brings it up without changing anything.

When a card keeps being forgotten, Lymi offers to help you write a hook for it, starting from a draft you can change.
